It’s Elementary! 5 School 5K & Kids MUD Run The 2014 It’s Elementary! 5 School 5K & Kids MUD Run will be on Saturday, May 17, 2014. Picture Let's get ready to RUN! The fourth annual It’s Elementary! 5 School 5K & Kids MUD Run will be on Saturday, May 17, 2014 in conjunction with our partner, the Old Colony YMCA of Stoughton. Created in a spirit of cooperation and community by the five Stoughton elementary school PTOs/PTAs, It’s Elementary! successfully promotes the ideals of friendly competition, personal bests, healthy choices, and teamwork – all in support of elementary education. For the past few years we have had over 200 registered runners, coming from southeastern Massachusetts and beyond. What makes this event unique is that it introduces elementary children to a healthy sport – running. Numerous families joined us for the Fun Run/Walk and for the activities offered by our partner, the Old Colony YMCA of Stoughton. The kids fun run has been changed to a mud run this year. So be prepared for the kids to get dirty! The 5K will begin at 9:30 am and the Mud Run will being at 11:30 am. The children will be run in age-appropriate waves (children ages 5 - 14 can participate in the Mud Run) for the MUD Run, so please indicate the child's age when registering. It is our aspiration to grow as a community wide event in support of all the Stoughton Public Schools! Please help support our cause by spreading the word to friends and family.
